With temperatures set to soar this weekend, why not get yourself to "London's biggest, brightest and best waterways festival" according to the Inland Waterways Association. The annual Canalway Cavalcade at Little Venice is a perfect way to spend this years May bank holiday, with temperatures forecasted to be hotter than Barbados!
Since 1983, the IWA volunteers have organised this colourful boating gathering focused around a procession of decorated canal boats with morris dancers, pop up shops, street food, a real ale bar, live music and plenty of activities for the children.
I popped down yesterday and it continues today and tomorrow (6th and 7th of May) and the nearest tube is Warwick Avenue.
